write

Five Minute Friday :)

So there's a thousand things I've wanted to write in this space about, words looking for the right way out.
Here's the biggest.

On the river this summer, I sat in a canyon all by myself, solo for a night, watching the golden light fade out of the canyon walls.
God and I, we talked for hours that afternoon and night.
I came into it a little afraid,
feeling like we might have to talk through some big hard thing,
or some unknown sin.

All that night,
all I could hear when I asked Him to be loud?

I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. Know I love you. See how I love you. I love you. I love you.

We talked about lots of other things, too, and this Sunday, I lived out the biggest.
In front of my church, on a cold, windy day, I was baptized and declared to the body of Christ that this is my life.
I've known Jesus since I was four, followed him all that time,
but I've never been baptized,
and I knew that was something the Spirit was leading me to.
So in that horse trough in the wind and rain,
I said yes to taking up my cross,
and told the body of Christ that I want to unite with Him,
share in his life and death in the hope of resurrection.
It's all resurrection.

Yes.

I am loved. This is my life.
These are words needing to be written.

Love:)
